Our Mission & Values
We came together with a Mission: To empower the lives of people living with disabilities to live independently through service dog partnerships.
Some disabilities are invisible. They can create walls and unknown alienation for those struggling to live with them.
An expertly trained canine companion that has the skillset to help build independence and connection is an invaluable gift.
The connection, lifetime access to community and understanding, not only for those living with the disability, but for their families and support systems.
At IAAD, we strive to educate through outreach and example. We are driven by our community of volunteers and the incredible potential in our service dogs in training.
From puppies to partners, these companions build the bridge to independence, confidence and support for all those that they touch.
We are guided by our Values and maintain all actions within the organization using these guiding principles.
Compassion
We provide personalized support with empathy and kindness, ensuring every individual and family feels heard and valued.
Integrity
We operate with honesty, transparency, and accountability in all aspects, from training and placements to fundraising and community engagement.
Excellence
We uphold the highest standards in training, dog care, and service delivery, continuously striving for improvement.
Empowerment
We support individuals in achieving greater independence by providing the tools, resources, and ongoing guidance needed for success.
