Diabetic Alert Program Training

IAAD is going to California!!

Two trainers, four assistance dogs in training and a whole lot of supplies are headed to the National Institute of Canine Service and Training in Concord, California, to join their Diabetic Alert trainers under their Dogs for Diabetics (D4D) stream to get fully trained in their program.

D4D has a long standing reputation of being one of the first organizations to place medical alert dogs, trained to detect and alert to hypoglycemic events before symptoms occur. The organization has placed over 170 teams and maintains a program that is robust, innovative and trusted.

IAAD has been invited to train with the D4D team and we couldn’t be more excited for the opportunity to learn from them and finalize our programming for Diabetic Alert here in Alberta.

The campaign is underway - support bringing this life-changing service to Western Canada!!
