An Attainable Future! IAAD is on Track – 20 Dogs in Year Two!

Not too long ago a few dedicated individuals came together with a common goal; to start a charitable assistance dog organization in Alberta. Fast forward one year and those few individuals became 30 strong, dedicated individuals working with 20 puppies growing into dogs that will become mobility dogs, hearing dogs, diabetic alert dogs and facility support dogs. The business plan target at IAAD’s inception was 20 dogs and IAAD crushed it within two years of operations. Their path wasn’t linear, sourcing puppies from reputable breeders earlier on, having a litter of pups last year, sourcing foundation pups from California and through partnerships with other schools.

Infinite Abilities Assistance Dogs is proving it has a good business model, a talented board of directors, and volunteers who don’t know the word, can’t! IAAD is on track to meet its next measured success - Placements! IAAD may only be in its second year of operations, but its reputation is built on honesty, integrity and strong work ethic. This reputation is reflected in its partnerships with other assistance dog organizations, allowing them to acquire dogs for training in hopes of placement. It’s also reflected in IAAD’s social media presences and following as well as its receipt of mainstream media coverage. Their goal has been outreach and education while endeavouring to train their puppies. Public engagement has been continuous and welcomed, with organizations and individuals interested in learning about IAAD assistance dogs and how they will support and better lives. All this setting the stage for building the following so that they have access to additional funding, providing longevity and success.

Year two is progressing at a rapid pace, new puppies, new partnerships, new volunteers and new opportunities. Everything this organization could ask for!
